Yay or nay (grammar edition)

by Lori B

In this day of social media, follows those who become transfixed by proper usage of grammar and vocabulary, and those who just use social media as a platform to express minor thoughts and engagements. I will take these next few moments to try to classify and understand what these two groups think of each other.

The 'grammar nazi' cannot focus passed the fact that the poster is not utilizing proper grammar, and therefore it angers and agitates them, and they cannot see passed defunct grammar. On the other hand, the one that does not use proper grammar is seen as lazy and uneducated.

The grammar nazi is seen as uptight, belligerent, annoying, and small minded. They cannot see the big picture, rather than focus on obsolete yet grammatical errors. This will cause them to not even pay attention to the logistics, rather than analyze and speculate how a sentence could not possibly make sense! They are usually very detail orientated and precise.

The grammatticaly inept 'dunce', so to speak, is seen as lazy, non-pragmatic, extemporaneous, impromptu and implusive. They may not have a solid basis on how they represent themselves to others, often hasty and diligent. However, these types are usually more focus on enjoying life and not stressing over the little things.

Now may I ask, what type would you say you are? Also, if you can, add some adjectives describing what you think of these two social media types. Pro grammar, or it doesn't particularly matter? Also, pick apart the wrong usage of vocabulary in this post! *cheers and tingles!* ((*tingles, if you like asmr that is!))
